I've just found the supply overlay. Great. I haven't read my way through the huge manual yet, so I was wondering if someone could explain the significance of action points (or "ap" which I presume is action points) in the supply route.

Normally, supplies can travel 250 AP's before losses occur. Each type of terrain cost AP's to enter/cross. For example, roads cost 1 AP for supplies. This is why your supply overlay is green for long distances on roads. Yellow on the overlay means supplies are starting to get lost, red more losses.
