Its an option in Random Games with the new patch and I have no idea what it does. Nothing in the readme either.

It just adds another AI player that has a soviet flag and I don't know what else.

In a nut shell, it's another AI with bands of milita type units causing havoc in the country side.
In sicilian they are called "a stone in your shoe" <g>

Not quite partisans.&nbsp; They control towns.&nbsp; They have a nasty habit of surprising you.&nbsp; They are like a weak nation.

If 'People's Regime' is selected, one regime has control of every hex on the map other than the other starting positions.&nbsp; However, it's production level is 25% of normal.&nbsp;

Peoples Republic is a really good addition as it stops the initial city rush. As mentioned, the Peoples Republic holds all territory unclaimed by the main players. Eventually they get wiped by the other players but it makes you completely re-think your starting forces and strategy.
