Leader bug?

I can't find my manual right now, so I hope the rules of the boardgame are the same.

When one has a leader in a battle, in the old rules, one was allowed to voluntarily drop the tactical rating. This only mattered in one instanc (as I recall): When the battle has a 4 leader against a 2 leader. 4 vs 2 means +1 vs. +0. 3 vs. 2 means +1 / -1.

So, the leader could opt for a battle with fewer losses to both side, if desired.

However, in the case where the 4 leader force has cav superiority, it makes a HUGE difference: You can't add any more to a +1, but you can to a +0. So, players would downgrade to a 3 tactical whenever they had cav superiority, because then they would get +1 / -1 (vs. a 2 leader).

I think this is a logic failing in the computer version. Unless the rules don't allow tactical step-downs any more?

That’s correct EiA 7.5.2.9.1.2 was not implemented –it’s not a bug. Again, if you do not read it in the EiANW manual it was either omitted on purpose or a deviation was written in.

Is there a complete list of intended deviations/omissions/changes anywhere?
That way we wont keep reporting them as "bugs".
