Upgraded Flak?

Is the upgraded Flak working properly? Currently it seems that it does not shoot at enemy aircraft attacking a city 2 hexes away though i have upgraded the flak to lvl 3. The Flak is currently sitting in a HQ though, so maybe that's causing it? Or am i simply somewhat blind as usual and did not find a setting or similiar to activate the Flak?

look at the range, is it say two after u click on the subtype flak?

Yes, it says range 2. Nontheless the Flak doesn't fire .

hum, they worked this turn.. allot of my planes where shot down
I checked the flack in the mag hexes ouch.. looks like I am going to go through the low countries! turn sent fyi

Hm they have only range 1. But the description text says they should have level 2, and the briefing only mentions that they get capped at range 2. At least they nontheless got a few of your planes, so they were not entirely worthless

No only at Range one. But all of the Maginot troops have from start 2 Flak.

well, I do not like seeing my air units butchered, they are now ordered to bomb Lille and Paris

Sounds like you are talking about the WAW scenario.  I capped all AA range to 1 hex.  Sorry for the confusion.

Yes we are talking about this scenario. Playing it for the first time now, so far i like it maybe even more than your europe 1939 scenario .

May i edit the scenario somewhat and eventually publish it later? I am currently thinking of altering the victory event, the chinese and japanese victory conditions look to me a bit like they could end the game a bit too early, then i am thinking of putting all nations awake and giving them their historical production via modifiers instead, Usa would be a seperate country then and finally maybe trying to include more nation specific units.

One problem with the previous version that had usa seperate was that  was not being able to stack units together.. land units in brit controlled areas etc

Couldn't you let the usa join the Wallies once they are in war, so usually december 1941?

The US does merge with the West when they join the war.  Although, I stage it in 3 parts to correspond with US production increases.
