Oval range circles

Post by theCase »

I'm running HCE on a I'm playing on a Dell 1501 lapdog with the screen set at 1680x1050. and I'm getting jumpy range circles around planes.

What I mean is many of the range circles around my planes "pulse" between horizontal ovals and the normal circles. It does this for Missile range, radar, fuel range, etc. and no, this is not "Pulsing" radars option. Same for Ships/bases, but they don't pulse and are either a steady circular or oval.

This seems like it only happens in the WestPac scenarios. Any ideas? It's slowly driving me nuts.

The oval range circles are a by-product of a less than perfect map for the Westpac battleset. (Sheer size of that map is one of the root issues). Better range circles are on the wishlist.

Thanks for the fast reply! I was thinking it had something with the map (Mercator vs. Cylindrical projection?). At least it didn't carry over to the other battlesets (that I can tell).

p.s. -> sorry for the giant image!
