PBEM helper and hotmail

Post by Preuss »

I just got turned on to this nifty program a few days ago...and though it works great in a receiving role...sending has been nothing but failure.
Anybody else out there got it working with hotmail, or yahoo?

To be honest I have problems sending to Hotmail with both programs (PBEM Helper and the PBEM program which can be downloaded from Matrix' page).
Sometimes the files do not arrive, btw normal mails either. (It's surely not a problem of my mail provider, 'cause I never have similar problems with other receivers.)
So I tend to believe that it's a Hotmail problem, not one of any mail client.

I had alot of problems in the beginning but a friend of mine helped me use Outlook express tied to Hotmail, can´t say how he did it, but now when I starts Outlook I get 2 areas.
One with local folders? or what it is called in english.
And under that one I get hotmail.

Problem with this is that I get 2 mail of the same mail:p

So the effect is that it is the Outlook that sends the mail and uses Hotmails server.

I hope there is someone out there who can explane what you has to do to get it like this.

Hotmail=MS and Outlook=MS. hmmm, that sounds to me to be your problem! :)
