PT's and Barges How?

I did read the manual but what I thought it meant and what I tired to do in game don't match up so I didn't get it. How does one go about creating these groups?

Barges and PTs are created by using supplies.  Say you have a transport TF going to Shortlands and you check that TF's info page and there's a button that says creat barges.  Click and you've used some of the supplies to make them.  To see how many are available go to the intel page.  The same goes for PTs.  By the way it's best to create them at or near the base as their legs are short.

But please keep in mind that you can't use any supplies for this, only those loaded at Truk or Noumea (or Brisbane?).

OK, that's all I thought it was but the Barge and PT options never activate, can it be a TF of only AK ships or something?

At the start of a game there's a delay for barges and then later on for PTs.  The TF can have AKs or APs.

They're just not yet available, but when they are, be sure to assign them a new home port, otherwise they will sail (slowly) back to Noumea!

Go to the Info scrreen and look at the Ship Availability listing. At the very bottom of the Ship Availaibility list there is a listing for the number of available PT Boats and Barges. I have played through to January and you get PTs by then nut no barges.

Take a transport and load it with supplies in Truk. After it´s loaded go to the transport group and click ¨Activate Barges¨

This option will be availabale if you have barges availabale. you can check that on your ship availability screen., bottom left hand corner.
