Bug in WAW

I am playing Germany and Japan. I played the Pacific blitz card in september and manually moved into all the supply sites ( staged the turn before). The next month it said I had not played the card and that if I did not since this was 6th turn I would lose China.

I played the card again and on the history you can see that I occupy both of the Borneo supply points, I am not attacked there at all, but at start of turn both units are eliminated and the damaged dutch garrisons I drove out are removed and replaced by new garrisons in the supply points.

The save I have is that turn.

Not sure what version came with 1.1 patch, but I think the version just recently posted by Weber is version 2.5, and was posted just a few days agao. A few other folks posted some problems, and I seem to recall one of them had to do with playing cards.

Ok I have version 2.4 I guess ( says 24) I go to the scenario bank and download 2.5. It says if it is a zip file to unzip it in the directory with the exe program, that is in the Bin Folder. It does NOT update the game, I still have 2.4 and the 2.5 is in the bin folder.

I gave up on loading scenarios before because the instructions do not work.

Try this:

Open the zip file.
Click and drag it to the \Advanced Tactics\bin\scenarios\WW2 folder. Or use Winzip to extract the file to the directory stated here.
Start AT
Click load scenario.
Double click the WW2 folder shown
Double click onthe World at war v25.pt2 file.

You are correct that this does not update the AT program. Also you have to restart the scenario using the new file or you won't notice any differences.

Except that is not the instructions given. Makes perfect sense but the instructions state to load it where the exe is.

I just went and read what you are seeing. I see your confusion.

It's stated that way because normally if it's a .zip file it will include subdirectories that need to be placed in certain spots. Since the .zip only contains the .pt2 file you can use the direction I showed here.

I fixed it. I made it a .pt2 file on the scenariobank.

If we have a game in progress can we just replace the scenario file w/ the latest to get the fix for the Pacific Blitz card or must we restart?

I hesitate to answer for Twebber, but I'm pretty sure you'll have to start over. You could test it pretty easily yourself, but I cant see how his fixed scenario would be able to impact your saved game, short of actually going into your savegame file and fixing the problem there (which you could perhaps do , if he told you what to fix, and you and your opponent trusted each other not to look at stuff while editing.).
