Anyway to fix the ghost squadrons on US CVs

Post by jeffs »

I have the infamous problem of "ghost squadrons on some US cvs (I recombined some fighters and that caused the problem). Anyway to
make the problem go away other than to wait?

By ghost squadrons, do you mean that you merged one fighter group into another, but repaired planes from the former squadron are now showing-up on base?

If so, just add them to another squadron w/the same type of fighter, at approximately the same moral and experience levels.

No. the organic fighter group was sent to a base, and 35 of 36 fighters went back.
2 turns later, the last plane (had been damaged so could not fly before) rejoins the
group. So the fighter group is back to normal....BUT in addition, I get another group, with no planes that mucks up flight operations..

Pilots w/o planes talking up space on a CV?

Yes, you can only have 5 squadrons on a CV and a ghost one takes up one slot. Jeffs, try putting the entire, fully repaired unit on the CV and then sail away from the port - that fixed mine a few turns ago.

Thanks nomad. will try. I was able to fly the ghosts to the Long Island...But then next turn they would reappear...

Time to call the excorcist!
