The Soviets are too strong on the ground and air. We have had to fall back in the south as we can not provide air cover.

Our advancing troops met some hungarian troops near Minsk. We were surprised to see a single division in the middle of nothing... It turned out they fouled the germans. They said they gonna slow us to let them escape. In the truth they negotiating for peace, sent by governor Horthy. We quickly agreed with them. Hungary backstabs the germans (and the rumanians) at an important point later, and they gonna get full independence. We arrenged a little fight to keep the germans believing our new ally. Our guest were sent back to live in full comfort near the pacific ocean until the war ends.

Finnland was attacked again, but they held on to their new defence line.

The finnish goverment for the people formed thise week. They were recognized by the great Sovietunion. They asked for the assistance of red army to clean the country from the few reactonist forces who do not want to join the free people of the Sovietunion.

Some reactionist finns stopped our tank armies in the centre... They are getting us really mad...

The 4 tank army commanders were humilated first by the german defence, then by Zhukov himself. They are only simple idiots not real commanders. There are no well built german defences which could stop the coordinated offense of 4 well led tank armies! They got 1 more week to kill all enemy front of them!

In the north the cleansig of finnland goes well, one of the reactionist finn korpses is surrounded by our forces, an other is nearly annihilated in long combat in the frozen swamps.

Finland has been hit hard in the air for some time now with Germany only providing fighter cover with 2nd line fighters. These fighters where destroyed every turn by the VVS. Last week we tried to ambush the VVS by sending a few Fw's to Finland. To my surprise no Soviet interdiction or air support to the front that has had the most air action in the game. Massive flak losses to the Fw's and lots of damaged aircraft will put these fighter wings out of action for sometime with no enemy plane killed.

The elite suicide sb-2 unit is invisible to the enemy. The fw's slaughter them without even noticing them (The german battle report is real bad from my experience, I always send in obsolete ground attack first, the 27 lost plane last week was result of 2 such recon missions, one to finnland. There are my best 10 fighter units I do not want them to have a fair fight with fw's.)

After recon reported a lonely fw unit in finnland it was destroyed by our air force. The finns were bombed hard. 4 Finn korpses were forced to retreat (the swamp continous attack thing fouled my plans, 2 should have surrendered...)

Everywhere else the strong german defences stopped our attacks. We have 4 new tank army commanders!

I know about the buggy reports in Finland but I was unaware of no reports being displayed. Strat bombing Russia also causes the game to run funny.

This week Hitler has ordered attacks supported by the airforce, not a inch of ground is to be given up.
In the South only 2 Siviet fighters were defending. We cleared the skies but only a few interidictions were launched as bombers were dirverted to air supply missions. We lost a great chance to inflict massive losses to the Soviets in this sector.

Recon reports show strong Soviet fighter covering the centre. We attacked advancing Soviet troops at the gates of Lvov and routed the enemy.

In the North, our airforce has found a weakness and has pounded the northern Soviet spearhead assulting Kaunas. We attacked the supporting INF which retreated cutting off a Tank Army. The Tank Army was assulted and it surrendered.

That was a huge setback. Air force commander of the area was sent to the first line in a penal battalion. All of our attacks were repulsed this week. We slowly have to dig to prepare for the summer of the panzers.

Air recon reports....

Romania
Strong fighter cover has been moved up too the front

Lvov
Strong fighter cover in this area

Brest-Litovsk
Strong fighter cover in this area

Kaunas
Only 1 fighter wing defending this area and it was destroyed.

This area has 3 tank armies and 1 shock army + other support troops. Very little air defence for such a great amount of force. We pounded the tank army and launched a attack retreating the enemy.

Finland

Air defence showed a few hundred fighters but to the south of Finland, a much strong airdorce has been spotted

I have had a very nasty blizzard starting early, finishing late and only 1 snow turn inbetween. I hope this nasty weather is over.

1 attack in the north retreated the enemy

1 attack in Finland failed

The fw's left finnland alone, leaving behind a few obsolete fighters. The red air force took complete control of the sky over finnland, and the red army continued the advance. Kaunas is finally ours. We attacked the retreating garrison again, and they barely survived (odds 127 in blizzard!).

The airforce was ordered to fly this week. 2 Soviet HQ's were targeted and bombed with everything we had. To get the required fighter for these missions, Finland and Romania were left with very poor air cover. Finland has suffered badly and is close to defeat.
