Question about CAP

Is there any mission that can be selected that will keep your fighters performing CAP and only CAP(not long range CAP either)?

I find that they go-a-escorting or sweeping a little to frequently, while their base is being bombed into rubble.

I think this was asked before, but I don't recall the reponse(or what thread it was in for that matter).

Having a blast playing, btw. Despite the fact that I would have preferred a printed manual, I must say this is the best PDF manual I've ever seen. :D
