Boy this thread went a wee bit astray!!!

Goblin- Thinkin' about switchin species?!?!?!?

Okay....
I see halftracks and 1...no make that 2
Panther G tanks to the North.
still about 27 hexes away from their doom...
Took a pot shot and KLUNK!
DOH! Just a hit on the turret. But a hit none the less.
Is is damaged?
Can it rotate?
Can it shoot?
Time will tell.

Meanwhile, Downtown Metropolis....
A parade has started down the main road...
1 Panther G.
1 Jegdtiger.....Grrrrr.
Seems the Panther crew needs glasses...
3 or 4 shots to my watchful T-34 down a lonely road head on and....WHOOPS! I slip away into the woods.
shaken...but alive...Whew....

Who shall delight in the first blood?
Stay Tuned...

Goblin - A Goblin needs to break away from the war and get some action!

Oh yeah ! almost forgot this was a battle report.
shame on you goblin for side tracking. Anyway.
My lone sniper recon spotted a section of tanks a number of T34's and a number of bigger ones. Sent a panther to investigate and BINGO 1 dead T34. First blood. Although the tank ws left in a vurnable position, its scarfice will be towards the greater good.

All i have to do now is how goblin does not try and side track us again :)

Okay.
Actually shots being fired now.
Metropolis in the middle.
a dead T-34. A vulnerable crew.
A desparate rally AND....
A failed assault against the Panther G and a dead crew...

A probe by another T-34..Panther fires..miss
T-34 fires...Miss
Panther fires....HIT..Damaged..
T-34 fires...Hit.. Damaged....
Both tanks standing off...AT 2 HEXES!!!
Come On?!?!?!

Engineer squad in for a look at the damaged Panther...shot at and hit they back off to a hex next to ANOTHER PANTHER!! WOOHOO! This one is retreating for some reason????
An Cocky Ivan tank commander pulls in with the Engineer squad and makes short work of the panther....out of the LOS of any one else...easy kill...too easy.

Jegdtiger still sitting in the same spot as before....immobilized???

Up North...Infantry probe sees 2 more Panther G tanks. ( 0% down, 0% financing sale in Berlin????)
Went for a side shot with a T-34, and BOOM!
Dead T-34.

Also spotted a couple of King Tigers coming in from the west.

Thats it for now...

T-34 - A T-34 fires no smoke.....oops....

RE: Brits - No problem, take who you want.

This turn Was weird. Could not knock out the Jegdtiger with my heavy tank, so I backed off.
Hope I can Reinforce Metropolis soon....
Took out the first Panther with a T-34...whew.

Way up north, 2 German Halftracks burning and 1 with no treads. 2 retreating squads. 1 routed squad...they did not like their halftracks blowing up.

Mid map - another Panther in the trees.
He fired at a T-34, going in closer for a routed Flammpanzer, missed, The T-34 backs up, and Kills the Flammpanzer from 2 hexes away instead of 1. Luck. Give that driver a medal.

Pulled a stupid move with hasty mouse clicking and sent an FO RIGHT UP TO THE FRONT LINES !!!

Two Panthers scrambled to destroy it, and missed. So it gets to live for another half a turn.

So, (4) T-34 Dead
and (1) Panther
and (1) Flammpanzer.

Well, after a brief lull in the action, we have more death to report.

The battle of Metropolis rages on.
1) Dead T-34.
1) Dead Panther G
1) Dead Jegdtiger...(finally)
1) Dead / Dispersed GE Rifle squad.
2) Dead Russian FO's....Son of a....
King Tigers spotted entering town from the west.

Mid North... Fighting continues.. Tank V Tank.
Lotta "hits" No kills.

North - Heavy Russian Tank caught in a crossfire of 2 Panther G's. 3 or 4 "new" Panthers spotted.

Looks grim up north. Hopefully Metropolis will be cleaned up in a hurry, and I can get something up there...

Metropolis a burning mess.
More twisted metal around the buildings than In the buildings.

Splash one king tiger.
Splash 1 T-34.

Mid North. WOW!
2 Panther G burning wrecks, and 1 crew scrambling for cover. Only German units left is a routed squad and a routed sniper.

Way North..Trouble looming for Ivan.
German Halftracks, squads, a sniper and numerous panthers coming in. Garrisons on The V hexes routed after 2 halftracks taken out.
Gonna be tough up there for a while.

After some how screwing up the save process, I had to re do my last turn.
Pretty much the same things happened, except for this time the King tiger lived.

Mango Breeder took his turn and wiped out 1 of my IS-4 Heavy tanks.
Bummer.

This turn I gained some ground, and killed some enemy.

In metropolis:
The born again King Tiger has been abandoned
A King tiger has died. Hopefully for good.
2 more King tigers are in town, but took quite a beating from several assaults, and numerous IS-4 shots.
Mango's Jegdtiger killed a T-34. It had no operational weapons, so I used it for recon.

Mid North, No german presence to speak of. 1 pinned sniper, and 1 panther still lurking. Grabbed a V-hex.

Way North, 1 dead Panther thanks to a squad with high suppression, no assaults left and a lucky flame thrower hit! All v- hexes reclaimed.
1 immobilized panther well away from the action.

Until tomorrow....

On Mango's turn, I lost 2 count em 2! IS-4 Heavies.

One in Metropolis, and one way North.

But I did kill one of his King Tigers in Metropolis, trying to sneak around a building.

My turn:
1 dead Panther G way North, assault by squad.

1 Dead King Tiger assaulted by Flame-throwing engineer who took a truck 10 hexes, unloaded, and earned his Vodka.

Last of the King Tigers in metropolis.
Only threat there now is a cocky calm and collected Jegdtiger.
Bastard will not budge or die.

Way North seems devoid of German presence.
Last of the Panthers out of the way up there.

Mid-map - still inching my way back to all the V-hexes. Got 1 more. No armor there to speak of.

Still 2 immobilized Panthers out west. Trying to rain mortars on them with NO Forward observer...

Next.
