submarine's dive speed

Post by project640 »

dear team, after play many weeks of this game I have note more and more disturbing things. One of them is the dive and rise speed of submarine. I think this is an important value of ships but here I can dive with Alfa in vdeep under a few seconds. It just need delay for a minute depends from type (and the same thing of ship's speed). Just to feel the manoeuvre.
Other, as I know the SS-N-3 (shaddock) launche's procedure of Juliett (K-77) class was app. 30 min., and Juliett can do this action just on surface whereas in game from deep it jump to shallow deep and launch missile in that second without any delay between two missile's launch (I think Juliett need min. a few minutes between two rocket launches)

You're correct in noting that there is no delay in diving speed nor any delay for weaponry like the SS-N-3 which (in real life) require some preparation time for launch. Something for the wish list thread, I expect. [;)]

Inappropriate when playing tactically, but not of consequence at an operational level.

Depends on scenario scope and style of play.

Picking himself off the floor of the sonar cublicle for the upteenth time, Pasha began to question if service in the Red Banner Northern Fleet was all it was cracked up to be.

Ha! Ha! Did I miss something? Like did I say something stupid? It's okay if I did as I often do ...

I think he's imagining the results of those instantaneous depth changes. [;)]

[:D] Don't worry Pasha, at least you'll never need a night light again! [:D]

Just imagine what poor Pasha must go through when they dive? Hope he's wearing his flak helmet, otherwise he's liable to end up with a depressed skull fracture. [X(]

Despite the exhalutations of the Zampolit that titanium bulkheads are much softer on the body than the older steel ones, Pasha is unsure if Communist zeal is enough to heal his mangled body.

Obviously the Soviet Gravity Negation equipment doesn't have mitigators for the Human Element. Don't your planesmen wear seat belts ???? [:D]

Feel for the blokes off duty - especially that poor bloke who just sat down in the head!
