Bug: Ships from neutral MP blockading

Post by Jimmer »

I'm GB, at war with the Turks, but not with the Russians. Last turn, I was blockading the Turkish fleet. So were the Russians. I took Athens, but Turkey somehow managed to win the blockade battle.

This turn, I land all of my troops there, figuring to build a depot, and then romp through Turkey a bit. But, when I click the button to create a depot, the attached message comes up.

I think what is happening is that the Russians are still blockading the port, even though there are no more factors in there with which he is at war. Thus, since I'm in a "blockaded" port, I can't build a depot. Bummer.

What I understand Russia shouldnt blockade you if not at war, but there are other possible explanations like not having a supply source harbour with depot and fleet.

Yes, definitely check to make sure you have a depot and a ship in a supply source location.
Thank you

Oh, yes. I have ships in BOTH ports, and a depot in the other one (actually, at the moment of this problem, I have 3 depots in ports that also have ship (I've already trashed both the French and Spanish fleets completely, so I don't really need the rest of my own).

The part that I think is fishy is that the Russian ships WERE blockading the Turkish fleets. Then, I lost the battle, but, as near as I can tell, Russia was not involved (there was no PP change for them in that battle).

I suspect what happened is that Russia somehow still believes that it is blockading Turks.

This should be fixed since in 1.01, I would boot the Russians as soon as you took the port BUT I would like to see this game, if you can?
Thank you

Will do. I suspect I won't, because you've made some changes in both blockade box stuff and supply stuff, plus dealings with neutral forces present.

Thanks!
