Virtual cockpit flashing

When in the virtual cockpit I'm getting a screen flashing as if my view shifted and jumped back very quickly. This starts about one or two minutes into a mission and seems to be random - happens about every 5~30 seconds or so. Any ideas?

After a little more searching I discovered that this is a TrackIR problem. I'll take the glitches over no TrackIR (it works perfectly in 6DOF for me), however, it would be nice if anyone knows of a solution for the TrackIR glitches.

I noticed that this effect is much worse in single missions than in campaign...
