Feb 18th 1945.........

A quiet turn with the normal mass bombing......

an I boat was caught off Taan......and hurt....she should make port........

as a cameo of how my economy is working.......or not, as the case may be.........I now am building up some stocks of Franks(both A and C).......but I have only two bases on the map which have over 20k supply......Shanghei and Inchon.......so I'm having to route airgroups through these bases to get upgrades/replacements........in the HI....most bases range from 3k to 12k in supply.........

Feb 19th 1945........

Another I-boat operating off Taan was hit by ASW forces......and is limping back to HK..........

A mass Air-raid.......250 Mustangs/466 Superforts smashed the HI......gaining Speedy about 700 points..........

How does he get THAT many Superforts??[X(][X(]
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

That is only one of Speedy's Superfort wings......he has another 150-200 Operating in Indochina.......and another 150 operating around Borneo/southern Phils........

Indeed........my floating Iceburg command center is well stocked with smoked salmon/blinis/chablis.....and of course Lacrimosa.....I will escape at the last moment to join her.......and we will live the high life in the Antarctic....until my next chance to sieze global power......

As for how long I can hold out........Speedy needs 5,000 points for autovic...........and he is gaining over 1,000 points a week....mostly through strategic bombing.........so I would guess a month.....6 weeks tops..........

Feb. 20th 1945............

I've retaken Wewak..........a futile gesture I know.........but it does mean a 75 point swing my way........and will force him to expend energy taking it back.............still Speedy gained another mass of Strategic bombing points.....so no real gain.....

A RO-boat was damaged off Taan.....as Speedy makes a concerted effort to clear the waters around the Island..........

No offense, Brother Penguin, but do you think he'll bother retaking Wewak with all the points he's earning through strategic bombing?

T.....I don't think he needs it in game terms........I'm counting on Speedy taking Wewak back as a point of principle(pride,really).........I'm hoping he'll move his CVE's back in and I'm hoping to sneak a Kami group into the area........I'm also going to retake some other bits and bobs around this theatre............

Feb 21st 1945..........

A v. quiet day in the war.........all of Speedy's ships have removed themselves from Taan........and for me a chance to hit them has gone........at least 5 SAGs......moved to the west of HK.....and ventured no further.......and I have no explanation for this......good commanders......fine ships.....good morale.......some aircover........but no contact......now I will have to wait....but I suspect not long.......as when Speedy's ships go to ground(as it were)....the usually come out in numbers.....and on a mission.....

Supply is now my biggest problem.............if anyone has any spare ....please e-mail.......

Feb 22nd 1945.......

Today the Kamikazi group I moved to Rabaul......attacked Lunga......with 25 aircraft bravely crashing into the ground.......this makes about 350 aircraft lost to this rather strange Kami action......still, maybe the island will sink........

On the plus side.......Speedy's HI Superfort attack groups flew in today unescorted.......and hit one of the few bases where I have some CAP......my mixed bag of Georges/Zeke5c/Nick/Randy.....managed to shoot down over 50 Superforts......damaging another 100.......I'll stand them down this turn.....as the Mustangs are bound to Sweep tomorrow.........

Lost an I boat off Taan to an ASW group..........

Moving 2 Divs to Formosa..........both understrength.........but Formosa needs all the help it can get.............
