Starbursts in Rising Sun

I left my manual at home and I have been playing a Rising Sun Campaign series. I am in some sort of night fight where I can't see more than a couple hexes ahead of me. I have no idea how to fire starbursts to illuminate the hexes. Any help?

Select a unit that can fire starshells;

Depress SHIFT + ALT and right click into the target hex.

There is a 40% chance of a Starshell being successful.

There is a 40% chance of the Starshell landing in the hex you targetted, otherwise it will land in one of the six surrounding hexes.

Starshells need to be available in order for them to work.
