Yep supply. Green - lots of suply, Yellow - running low, Red - out of supply!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

Also check to ensure your assigned headquarters has a path to the unit. And make sure the Unit HAS a headquarters assigned.

Remember when you create a new Headquarters if you do not assign it to a higher headquarters that is receiving supplies you need to give the headquarters it's own supply through assigning at least one production site making supply to it.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

I think the best way to learn how to play Advanced Tactics is to download People's Tactics and play the tutorial there. It's a superb PT tutorial, and the mechanics of this game are basically the same. I understand most of AT and I've not read the manual.

While we are on the subject of unit supply, the distance a unit is from its assigned HQ is apparently important to its ability to be supplied. What is that distance?

And, what affect does intervening terrain have on the ability to supply a unit?

Select the HQ, then press the petrol can button, this shows you supply range. Green is good supply, yellow slightly bad, blue bad and red out of supply. You'll see the effect of terrain and roads by the way the colours are lined up. You can also right click on a unit to see the supply path to it from HQ, and the points per hex.

Delyn, thanks. Had not noticed the points-per-hex visual with the right <click>.
