CHS - Merchie Stuff

Post by JWE »

HOT ZOOTS and OUT-FREAKIN-STANDING !!

Few months ago I asked MBS, LLC (Tim Colton) if they could do specific queries from their database, told them what I wanted and why.

Just got a reply from Gus Moutzalias with everything my little heart could have desired, and much, much, more (except the redhead). He sent me a database of every US Maritime Commission ship built from Jan. '41 to July '46, by name, shipyard, commission date, and including disposition, if known. This is every C1 (subdivided by variant: C1-A, C1-B, C1-S, C1-M), C2 (with variants) C3 (with variants), and has C4s, P1s, P2s, and if you know ships, you will know all the others I don't want to bother mentioning. He key coded every ship that commissioned into the USN, so they can be excluded from a strictly merchie list. He also key coded ships taken by USAT as troopers, so those can be separately listed.

Yeow !!! Woof !!! AE is gonna be sweet !!

CHS modders - if ya'll want some good stuff, send me a pm. This is great !!!

John, is this the package you called Maj. Faustini about? Are there any changes in the Op-09 scenario that's running now? Nobody cares about names, but are there any substantive changes?

Only 2, but we’ll take care of them in the editor. They are minor: liquid load in the deep tanks was dropped by half. Your smalls were reduced to “light” status, so they are not available for ops. Anybody using them for ops deserves what they get. Basically using Cmdr. Shipens’ inputs.

Scotty, Bolton and Tadich are going to answer under this ID. This is a good place for all to collect.

OK, we have all the C1s, C2s and C3s built since 1938, on the list. Everything buily since Feb-42 is on the list by shipyard. Everything that was converted to a USAT troop transport, is on the list as an xAP.

Everything that was taken over by the USN as a commissioned vessel, is off the list, but is on list-2 in the appropriate spot.

Somebody vet this, 'cause Quintan & I have been doing Scotches.

[D. Bolton] Damn, Jeremy's computer tells you who you are. Got the downloads, and the green side looks good. What about the red side. You have something for them too. I remember your saying something about the red side hauling factors. are we sweet on both ends?

John, the scenario beta looks good. Problems with the upgrades on the A classes. Damage is in the 90ies when they show. Is that how its supposed to be. Every thing else checks out David has issues with timing for the air attacks on Singapore and Java. Dec. 7, 1941 Alternate-1 is almost ready to go. Jeremy

Damage numbers are ok. It's not really damage. Because the change is instantaneous, it represents a time frame to get the new ship 'ready for sea'. Should be 2x or 3x what you got, but what the hey.

I'll sidebar with David. Good on Alt-1, it should be a real kick. We'll post as soon as you guys are ready.

BTW, thanks for the assist with Dixie. Ciao.

Scenario is finished, no problems after a 30 day c-c trial run. Japan tasked to the SRA, aggression raised to 8. Carrier fleet split as you thought. Pincers on Malaysia are hot. I think you called it. Hit long and fill-back.

Warning and Op orders go to Faustini and Scotty, as soon as you approve the scenario. We got 3 possible CPXs depending on how David reacts. I bet on Batak, he’s a wuss.

Hi boss, all finished. Scenario ready to post to the group.

Lotta wierd people here. Bothers me that some people claim to have been there that were not. Read a lot of crap from people that couldn't wiggle the pimple. You want me to pull the DD-2s on these jerks and post them? Everybody will know who is a lying sack, and who isn't.

Hi Jeremy,

Fugedaboudit. We all know who the lying sacks are. Anybody who is stupid enuf to tell lies about their record probably doesn’t know their entire service history is an open book. Stupid is as stupid does. We’ve never bothered about them before, and they are worth even less now.

If the southern option is ready, go ahead and post it as S-2 on the Pendleton site. If S-3 is ready, post that as well. Faustini’s chompin at the bit and we want a go; Nelson and the rest of the Navy pukes in San Diego are ready to boogie (ready to die).

Maybe we’ll post the scens here, once we get past O-21 and start the AARs; what you think? They are pretty hot !!

Ciao.
