Game textures

Post by servo75 »

Maybe this is too picky, but maybe make the in-game textures a bit smoother? The jersey in-game, no matter what texture was used to make it, looks a bit rough, and the numbers come out looking a bit jagged. Maybe the resolution can be increased?

If the textures you are using do not match the size and bit depth of the ones shipped with the game, they will be resized. This resizing can deform your textures making them look not as good as they could be.

The shipped textures are sized so they conserve video memory on older cards.

Ok. But the game specs do say 128MB video card required, so I think we can handle higher resolution. If the jersey number resolution were increased to something like 128x64 per digit it would make the game much nicer. I just think that the u7.bmp files, being only 64x128x100 are probably too small and thus the borders look jagged and/or uneven in the game.

That being said, my graphics card is integrated video. I'm thinking of getting a higher-end card for some other games. Do you think it will help with this one too?
