WAW27a

Post by Twotribes »

I made a few changes to the scenario but nothing to do with the Soviets or the events leading to soviet activation.

It is now Feb 40 and it keeps telling me in 1940 I will need to match or exceed soviet strength. It list unmodified German strength ( about 500) and soviet strength ( about 1300) if the modification were working the 500 would be 2000, BUT the Soviets still are not active. Will this change when I take Paris?

EDIT, the title is wrong, I mean the test scenario. Not 27a.

An unmodified strength of 500 is multiplied by 4, in 1940, giving a modified amount of 2000. This is sufficient to keep the Russian at bay, since they only have 1300.

Except it does not SAY I have 2000, it says I only have the 500, well now up to about 1000. Next turn Paris should fall, I guess I will find out then.

Ohh and I KNOW how it is supposed to work, the point is in this test scenario it is not saying what it should.

Well...apparently, something you changed did have something to do with the garrison requirements portion of the events. Perhaps, if you were to upload the scenario somewhere, people could look into it, and give you more helpful advice?

Running an independent test myself, without my changes, none of which effected the events needed for counting or modifying garrison requirements.

The question I will ask now is.. Have you played the test scenario? Has anyone? Is what I am seeing a fluke?

Yes, I'm playing the test scenario, modded by freeboy for CA AA fire only. We've gotten into 1941, and the garrison requirements seem to be working fine. As a matter of fact, we just had a do-over, as he neglected his garrison build-up and had the 1941 modifier multiple change catch him with his drawers down around his ankles...[:D]

Anyhow, just for clarity's sake, the strength points are being shown in the game, as the modified amount, and not the base amounts.

I think I see the problem. In my test with unmodified scenario it is doing the same, so I reread what it says. It states when the "soviets" are active, so maybe until I take Paris the multiplier does not happen because it is not needed.

I will see if that is what is happening.

OK it seems the way the game processes the information is different now from before, well at least in my memory.

Before as soon as it was 1940 the program quadrupled the German garrison, now it only does so after the Soviets are awake.
