Please help with barges

Like alot of people i bought this game a few years back. I just now really started to dig into it and try to learn how to play it. Anyway..i have read the manual and looked around but i cannot figure out what barges are for. I know they have something to do with a transport tf set up from your main base..but where should they go...and what good are they? also, in the air portion...if you click withdraw what exactly does that do..does it send the pilots to the rear..or pilots and aircraft..is that how you "rotate" your pilots....or do you have to manually rotate them out. how do you use your sc's ..i mean i know wht they are for..but do you use em like the pt's and pg's?. also...lol ive been trying to transport ground units from austr. to port morsby via air transports...each turn i get a little message that says...such n such 47 transports xunit to port morsby..but everythime i look at the base the unit is still in brisbane or one of those bases in aus that i tried to xfer it from....does it take several trips to transport the entire unit? also after a few turns it says that the c 47 transports supplies to port morsby..i ddint set it up for that but it keeps doing it...sorry for the no paragraph break..but the questions kinda came up as i typed...im liking this game. i like watching the carrier battle animations ..the tensions..hehe.. btw..is scenerio 17 the biggest of the game? i start with lunga and lungaville i guess it is..thought i saw somone post where he had takne it..dunno..anyway thanks for the help..sorry if hard on eyes..

ok, i found some info on barges...but can someone help with the other questions..thanks

Hi Blackjack.

Barges are basicaly very small transports. They carry a very small load, are very short ranged and have a low visibility.
