Superb game but cant get patch to work

One of the best games is years. I am having a problem getting the latest patch installed. I have to downoad it to a flashdrive and then transfer to my computer. I have used this system successfully with other matrix games. The patch downloads fine but when I go to install it it won't work. I can see the bin and read me files there and if I right click I can explore BUT I am not given the options to run, either run or run as administrator. I have a computer with Vista and very little computer knowledge (my first wargame was AH Gettysburg in 1960 so I am lucky to be alive, much less grapling with weird and alien technology). Would appreciate any suggestions.

NO, no, sorry about this. You can donwload the patch to even a very old flashdrive and it works fine. I'm the thing doesn't work fine but even I finally figured it out. thanks.
