first strike that came from Wyndham. Again we engage Wildcats of VF-2 on Cap over Derby. [&:] 4 were in the air, there was no Wildcat destroyed on the ground. So what the heck does that mean? Is this leaking CAP of Lexington being nearby (haven´t spotted here up to now)? Is this VF-2 that was transferred in by rail? But why isn´t then a Wildcat destroyed on the ground? Strange... And why should Swift take off VF-2 from Lexington? Wasn´t Lex hit by a 250kg bomb during the turns Enterprise was sunk? Hmm, at the moment I have no idea on what´s going on at Derby, this is just strange to me. Should have taken notes on what major ships were hit when and struck by what...

The Wildcats fought well though...

ouch again. Third 0:1 in a row. Wuchow has been definetely the hardest nut to crack in China so far. Though we´re nearing a 1:1 and this gives hope. No retreat path for the Chinese, they will all surrender. Swift isn´t even trying to send an inf unit overland to create a retreat path. So far, the failed assault on Wuchow did cost us around 800 assault points in mostly disabled squads. We have ordered some reinforcements from Kweiyang to replace our losses. The biggest problem seems to be the inability of my bombers to fly constant ground attacks. I don´t want to start those "why are the Allied so mighty everywhere BS", though I don´t understand why ground attacks are so hard to launch for the Japanese. I could fly 4 out of 5 days airfield attacks on Wuchow. 2 hexes from Changsha where everything is just perfect. If there´s no thunderstorm in the Changsha hex, then it´s 100% no problem to fly an airfield attack, though I get only 1 out of 5 times a ground attack... [8|] this way, ground attacks could also be deleted from the orders for the Japanese as they are completely useless when they aren´t flown constantly as they only create disruption (they don´t do you any good as you just lose aircraft on and on).

Swift should be experienced enough to know that this kind of attack in an urban hex has no chance of being succesful at all... The Allied lost 87 points for ground losses today...

We spotted F4F4s from VF-2 flying Cap over Derby all the time, today we spotted a TF 2 hexes away so perhaps there have really been US carriers sitting 2 hexes off Derby. KB is low on fuel so we will move to a position 5 hexes away from the current position of this unknown enemy TF...

we will wait for our reinforcements to arrive and then we will order another deliberate attack...

In Northern Australia it seems the Allied troops are abandoning Derby and are fleeing towards Perth. Wanted to destroy them all but if I get Northern Australia without a fight, then that´s fine with me also... my carriers moved to the Derby area, but no US CVs were encountered. Low on fuel, my CVs are ordered home to refuel...

Strategic overview! Soon Northern Australia will be ours, without taking much losses. We have troops en route to Davao, to take out the last couple of small Allied units on Mindanao. From now on, there won´t be any more Japanese amphibious invasions...

Defeated Allied Units Retreating!

only understrenght Dutch troops were defending here... I don´t know why Swift hasn´t done anything to defend Northern Australia at this date...

There´s no place on the map where I have encountered serious efforts to stop me... no wonder I´m advancing on and on. I haven´t spotted a single TF that was going South in the Pacific. Either Swift is using stealth technology or he really brought everything to Hawai and Alaska... Both places are full of inf were built up very quickly and I see lots of dark, fat airfield and port symbols...
