Noob needs Jap Opponent for CHS 157 or 158

I’ve been playing about six months now against the AI as the Allies and I reckon I’m about ready to take on a human opponent. Although this would be my first game I have read a heap of stuff on the forum so I know how the game mechanics work and I’ve been training specifically on the CHS 157 & 158 scenarios. These are the CHS scenarios with Nik-type mod with Soviets active (158) or not(157). So I know what the allies run out of where at the start of the game, where units appear and what to do with them.

I’d like to do one turn a day, initially using 1 day cycles and then maybe increasing these using a voting system later. I should point out that I’ve played PBEM a lot before and I’m used to games taking a year or more – so I’m looking for an opponent in for the long haul. Or at least until we get to admiral’s edition being up and running and we decide it is so much better we have to swap!

House Rules (Brazenly stolen from elsewhere on the forum)

First turn - Japan gets to choose one port strike location; no invasions south of Singapore or Tarakan-Menado-Sorong line on first turn; or south of Rabaul. Allies can move ships at sea; Allies can move up to 1/3 of non capital ships (AK, DD, SS, etc) in a port on first turn; can not move capital ships; no CV hunting by Japan on first turn; Russia must be activated 2 weeks prior to any invasion - activation done by a small unit crossing border and returning.

air unit transfer - LBAs that transfer longer than their normal range must be on stand down or training for the next turn
4E bombers - strat bombing from 15,000 ft+ unless at night (8,000 ft+)
Land units change command if move outside of campaign area (based on historical areas of command)

And open to discussion on anything else.

I should mention that I’m in Europe so I won’t be able to do more than one turn a day against opponents in North America due to the time difference.

Drop a line here if you’re interested.

Voting system? Are you sure you are in the right game forum?

[:)] when I say voting system I was just imagining something whereby each player could say if they want 1, 2 or 3 turns processed and then... I don't know, I 'spose the lowest number is used. Just an idea anyway...

I think we find WitP so facinating because of the large part Denmark played in the Pacific theatre... [8|]

Thanks dekwik, I'll go pick up your message.
