Hi,

We've got a little more checking to do on it, before we send it to Matrix. Sorry, but the holiday season is always a killer for me, and we are pretty shorthanded these days.

James:

Have you considered 'Long Ugly Hands?'

Maybe it's just time to start recruiting from the 'ranks', eh?

LOL, this won't be the first time the idea has been brought up...............EH?

I could suggest some people that would work for thier "Names in Lights", ..........

But then, this is a subject that already has 'long and ugly' in it, eh?

Mhuhahahaha!

[:D][:D]

(just jiven ya, dude, relax....)

It's being tested.

The one after that is being worked on too.

This support is really too good to be true.

Thank you Ralph, James and Matrix for making this happen.

Here's an unedited lsit of fixes for 3.3.0.6. It was supposed to be a quick fix, sorry it's taken so long to get out there.

1. Lag time in selection of units is fixed if crop circles are off.
2. Units no longer auto-centers. they will only center if the unit is off the map. That's the way it was supposed to work.
3. Mouse wheel no longer active when dialog boxes are open. That should fix most of the issues.
4. Next/Prev buttons in the editor should now update the unit panel.
5. Scenario dump no longer shows P1/P2 equipment as the same in some cases.
6. Playback issues and unknown parent errors were fixed by not allowing zoom in the playback dialog.
7. Restored the ability to cancel sea invasion attacks, without zeroing out movement, and without banking/incrementing sea capacity. This was reverted to 3.1 behavior.

Known Issues

Crop circles currently require a redraw of the entire map. This may be fixed in a future release.
We STILL have problems with foreign characters. See support forum for details.

3.4

3.4 has some minor fixes and two major items on it, so it's going to take a while. This is what I'm shooting for, and I don't have a specific schedule for it.
1) Modify the turn sequencing to fix some of the P1/P2 assymetries. This is complciated to do, and worse to test.
2) Allow for somplete XML Import/Export of sceanarios. Since the editor is weak, this will allow a complete external editor to be written, and also simplify the main game code.

Not much else is happening, except for Silvanski going wild in the ETO.

Would be a nice way to bring in the coming US holiday, with a nice update package...

Well...we've had a version ready for the past few months, but it's a very, very minor update. It just hasn't seemed "worthy" enough to have to go through all the installer build, and final testing process with Matrix when we've got a more sustantial revision that is currently being tested.

I can´t believe what i'm reading... [&:]

i've been waiting for this "very, very minor update" for months... [8|]

I'm not asking or demanding the Toad team for an update itself, i'm not asking for new features created by your team... just for the correction of the "next unit centering jumping sceen", feature unfortunately introduced only due to some people lack of experience with the game. This "jumping thing" almost ruined my game pleasure and the reason i didn't leave the game is because i'm still strongly adicted to it.

When i paid for III- and i insisted in paying it when i was eligible for have it for free - (+ i already paid for 4 versions of this game system - Toaw 1, Woty, Cow and III) the "next unit centering sceen" wasn't there and i want "my game back"!!!

I thank you and your team a lot for all the efforts and for most of new features you put in this game but please be extremelly carefull with the upgrades and when possible they should be optional.

I have a strong felling the Toaw community isn't only the small group posting on the scenario design forums.

I think we're getting 3.3 ready, I'll ping James on it later and see what the status is.

3.4 is going to take a while. It's a fairly massive update with a lot that can go wrong. We're trying to balance between making major changes, and getting it out there.
I've discussed some of it at www.operationalwarfare.com
Key features that we're looking into for 3.4 (not promising, there could still be things happening that mean that we need to kill one of the features.) They're far enough along that they've got a reasonable chance of getting in.
Tool Tips. Yep, bringing the screen one step closer to the 21st century[8D] They're still a bit buggy, but getting better. The big problem I'm having is that something called 'aplha blending' isn't working as expected.

Full game XML Import/Export. This will allow for either thrid part editors or for me to rewrite the editor.
All game text stored as XML, including menus.
The above two items meand that it will be even simpler for the non-english speaking users No more DLLS, just text files to edit.

Change the end of turn logic to eliminate the P1/P2 assymetries. This is a huge change and needs to be tested VERY thoroughly. The things that could go just a little bit wrong are horrible. It will be an option.

Optional Supply system changes. The biggest change here is getting away from the current 4 levels of supply, and going to a more linear model, that is instead of the jumps from 100% to 75%, etc. we're looking about a more gradual decrease. We may be able to do other stuff once we're off the 4 levels. I can't talk about them yet though, we're still talking through them.[:D]

Other small wish list items.
