Security problem with "Nation Statistics" screen

Post by gwheelock »

The "Show Nation Statistics" screen shows upcoming reinforcements
for the PHASING player - not the active player.

Here is an example :

This is a security bug because it allows other players to know what others have
built.

I confirm that the "Current nation" windows and the Upcoming reinforcements doesn't works well.

As GB in a PBEM game, I build Infantry factors and nothing appears at the arrival month !

Addendum :  The reinforcements on the "Current Nation" screen are intially CORRECT for the
PLAYING country in the CURRENT month.  They only get changed to the PHASING country
when you use the arrow buttons to select other months (& don't change back even when you
go back to the current month)

Marshall : I suspect you have two SLIGHTLY different SQL statements for this screen - on for the
Init & one for Prev/Next buttons & they are referencing two different variables for who the "current"
nation is & this is where the problem lies.

I was always pretty sure that builds where confidential - we played that way.

ADDED: My bad -- LAND builds...not Naval....I missed that point. Thanks to those who followed!

LAND builds were indeed confidential. Naval builds were public, though.
At LAST! The greatest campaign board game of all time is finally available for the PC. Can my old heart stand the strain?

BINGO!!

When you built naval units you had to declare what/where you were building, you however did not have to declare when you got them. Land builds are secret, and so they should be.

We got this fix (PBEM seeing the phasing nation's builds) added into the 1.02 patch!

Thank you
