ORIGINAL: Nomad

The interesting thing is the code is not flawed, but I really feel that the design is flawed. AndyMac says the code is working the way is is supposed to - there are no intercepts possible of aerial mining flights. So - what now?

deja vu Ron? [:D]

Yeah, we had our problems for sure. what's the holdup here anyway? A feature which does not rear its' head until 44?

What's the holdup? Well I'm waiting to hear back from Trollelite if the current rules are agreeable to him.

Nomad - Well, not being able to intercept planes flying missions within a given hex is obviously an error. It'd be like not being able to intercept transports flying paratroopers in etc... Of note: Aerial mining is banned in my current EA game in which I'm playing as Allies so I still apply this rule even when it disadvantages me.

You could begin your work.

As sub landing, I want to see your SNLF only(not including NLF). Don't argue this anymore, you have enough SNLF units to do this.

I would sub landing: Marine paras, Marine raiders, Aus "force", chindits, or soviet marines(if any). Still u have a much greater number of units to use, so don't complain.

I refuse to give Pw to others. If I even quit I would give this to anyone you appoint.

And you should promise never run combat result on other people's machine, and never run this more than once before send me entire set of file, including combat animation, save file, combat result and op result txt file.

Bits and insult? It's not for me. As I would not do any aar this time. This is a simple choice for me. I just have enough time for one extra game or aar, but not both.

I doubt the air mining debate would have any result. Not too much people play into that later, and soon most of them would abandon this for AE, anyway.

Don't argue this anymore,

Discussion is not the issuing of diktats Trollelite.

Why? I always run them only on my own machine anyway but I'm curious as to why you stipulate this and demand the ops results?  If we're in synch then your computer will generate the combat results and ops results files anyways....

Trollelite - As to air mining. Well we aren't discussing other peoples' games here, just ours. No aerial mining unless Matrix comes in and says that aerial mining missions CAN be intercepted.

And no rule changes without us both agreeing to them.

As to your password point - ok. If one of us wants to quit he should give the password out to whoever wants to take his place.  For this reason we should both use disposable passwords ( IOW not our usual passwords ).

I'll start on the turn... I'm very busy with work this week and the first turn always takes forever but I'll get something to you by this weekend and we can take things from there.

It's possible that even identical game installation on different computer running the same turn will lead to different results. And if you run the same on your computers for several times, results maybe different, as Jap side. It's just a common sense.

And, troll, I would like to serve as your back up player, if you wish to share the PW.
But, if you are not writing a AAR, how can I follow the war? by reading the Allies side? That would be great topic for some guys here[8D]

I perfer not to know that and not to prove if that is true. Better not know Mr.snake at all than try to find out if one has enough resolve to resist him... hehe...

For both of your information :

It is generally "safest" to do a separate install fo WitP/CHS for each PBEM game. If your the game under a separate install, your chances of a replay bug are greatly diminished. It has been my own experience that the pwhex.dat file is key. If you both do an install, and then Japan sends the Allied player his pwhex.dat file, you should be golden. Most folks don't have an issue with hard-drive space, so if you're paranoid about replay bugs, a separate install is the way to go.

Aye I haven't even had a chance to sit down and plot my first moves yet. I'll do that this weekend and send the turn on Sunday or Monday.  So far all I've really decided is I won't bring the Soviet Union into the war on Turn 1 but that I AM going to try for some major surprises around the map [:D]
