Teething Problem

Hi
Am a mac use(!) and have got EIA up and runnign via parralles but having a few teething problems in setting the game up. When trying to add inf/cav etc to the the corps I highlight the unit and then go the button to add but am told that not selected a unit. Could someone be kind enough to do me a step by step guide as to how to do it so can get a chance to play this great game on the computer.

Make sure you right click somewhere on the map before you select the corp to be sure you actually have the right corp selected.
 
 
If I recall right (dont have the game in front om me atm)
 
1. Go to force pool (the menu button with the house in the middle of the top menue if im not wrong).
 
2. Select the unit/units you want to place by left clicking - the border color should change.
 
3. Right click to return to map.
 
4. Left click on the area where u want the forces to place them on the map.
 
5. Right click on the map to deselect any prior selections.
 
6. Click on the corp you want to add forces to
 
7. Click add forces (top left button of the bottom left phase action area if im i recall right)
 
8. Move the disired factors between the pool and the corp with the ^ v buttons.
 
9 Click ok
 
Rinse and repeat

Thanks for that Zaq most helpful and have sorted out. Only problem now is that games says I have more units to set up but have deployed all inf/ca/guard and light and heavy ships, could you help again please. How do I find out what else I have to deploy, do I have to set my depots up?

Click somewhere in your country and the info window (it is above the log window in the lower left side of your screen below the map) should tell you what you need to place, most likely (FS) xI, yC, which means that you have a free state whom you need to do the set up for as well as your own forces.

Would help a bit if you told us what country your playing etc - most likely you have some minors under your countrol and its easy to overlook.
 
If you activate your national display (3rd button from the left in the top menu) there is a field showing what free states you have under you control - you can click on there name and the program will change focus to that minors territory you will also get a similar display for that minor and if that minor has any corps you can select those corps from that minors display much like when you place corps from your major.
 
if you right click in your territory on the map the factors you have left to place should show in the status field (to the left between the log window and the map )
 
If its not a minors factor you have left its probably ships, it seems fairly common that first time players forget to place there transports etc
