Is there a way to retrieve my password?

Post by Durbik »

Got stuck in a PBEM game - because I forgot my password! yes, yes, I'm a (*&@^@ and a piece of #*(&(^@. But still.

My opponent asked for a break in PBEM gaming, and the break was so long, the password just... faded away o_O

So! Is there a way to get it back from somewhere? Like is there a hex editor, a savegame editor or such? I've searched trough the forum and I've just found witp decoder, which is a tool for different uses, rather than that :)

It's not a try to cheat, really. it's our fourth major pbem, and a first one when I decided to change my standard password [8|]

Please help! The game was just about to get interesting

As a player - not really.

I do believe if you send the turn along with a six-pack of imported beer to a willing dev, they might be able to get it for you.  But otherwise, no, there is no way for you get the password.

Since sending some kickass polish bewerages to US would cost... A LOT - I'll just presume I fu*ked up.

Send jwilkerson a PM. Also, your opponent must send him a message with his password, too, so that Matrix can be sure you're not doing this to cheat. It may take them a while to retrieve your password (especially with AE coming up), but last I heard they are still helping people who have lost their passwords.
