what s what here?

Post by freeboy »

OK, So I decided to stop crying like a baby and dissect my openents forces, by a process of reverse engenerring, after all, I can do a simulation and play against myself and see whats what.. So, found out he has built A LOT of fighters, this one mean player.[:-]

He also has reached level two, [&o]and I check it out, nothing hinky but he has spent a lot of his factory strength on this, forcing me to level two, I was there first HA![X(]

So I start looking in the stats.. IT states I have x number of fighters and y number of fighter twos.. u dd not expect real figures during a time of war? Then I look up in the oob and I have way less, like about half? I have only lost four fighter ones so thats not it, ah a mystery. BUT I know u knowledgable folks can set me straight.[&:]

Why do the counts for the oob screens not match the counts on the powerr screen in the statistics area?

I'm guessing the OOB screens do not reflect any stat changes in the turn they occur?

It's things like "imop case solve" that prevent me helping you mate. I still don't understand what you are asking. [;)]

I have a guess. With ships when you fight a battle twice as many appear in the window , now I know aircraft do not do that, but perhaps the one screen counts points twice as many as actual counters?

I think I understand what Freeboy is asking.

He is looking at the Statistics screen. When he looks at the "Power" page in the Statistics screen he is seeing more units listed that when he looks at the "OOB" page.

Assuming that is correct. I believe, Freeboy, that you are reading the "OOB" page incorrectly. Describe in detail what you are seeing on the "OOB" page. It would help everyone understand your problem if we could see some screen shots of what you are trying to describe.

I have never encountered a situation where the "Power" page tells me I have more units than I can count on the "OOB" page. (Someone speak up and correct me if I am wrong. I have been before.)

As a side note, it makes no sense that you claim you were to Level II first, if he forced you to upgrade by making it to Level II himself. Unless you have some way of telling that your opponent is accruing power points and can read his mind to know what he intends to upgrade with those power points.
