cannot install

hi,
i've just downloaded jtcs today and when i click on "open" my screen flashes violently therefore preventing me from going thru with the installation. i have to close down the computer when it flashes like this. does anyone have any suggestions on what this might be?

Okay I did purchase today the download/hard copy option realizing that the hard copy is now shipping again. But I tried to download the game so I could get back in the swing of things until my hard copy arrived. however I am having issues with the download. I posted in the support forums and have not received any response yet.

I am downloading the game to my desktop, my cache is clean, cookie control set on medium. But when I double click on desktop icon I get no response. Any ideas fellas?
I have tried three downloads.

Instead of the desktop icon, maybe try double clicking the exe where the file was downloaded on your machine?

nope...nothing happens...I have tried to download on both my laptop & pc and I get the same result. I am going to try one more download.....

I would suspect a firewall issue. My download is 566mb. I don't remember if it was a zip or the exe but I have the exe in a folder. Right click your download and check properties to see what you have.
 
What operating system do you have? Do you have admin rights?

I have xp sp2 on pc & vista on my laptop. even if i disable my firewall I still get no results.

OK-update.

I tried a re-download turning off my firewall and downloading to my c-drive rather than my desktop. I finally got to the install wizard screen and game appears to be installing ok so far on my pc. fingers crossed.

Success - it installed on the second try and game appears to be functioning normally. I am off to try the bootcamp scenarios to re-learn how to play. weeee!

Don't forget to update it!! Click the UPDATE button on the main menu!

It does work on my PC, but still won't install on my laptop w/ vista. I'll try again when my hard copy arrives.
