Can't land US troops on Brit islands?

Post by miral »

Am playing the WWII in Pacific scenario and find that I cannot unload US troops on islands, or any land, owned by Britain. Why not? How can one build up defenses in first year or so of war without doing so, as the Brits don't have enough to defend themselves. Also, every island in the south Pacific up to Hawaii is British soil. Can't unload in Australia or New Guinea either. Help!

In AT, allies cannot occupy eachother's hexes.  In Pac war, I wanted to separate US production from India and Australia (otherwise, Solomon Island campaign is irrelevant).  The US can send some production to the UK via pp.  Think of Austrailia as MacArthur's command and the US as the Central Pacific command under Nimitz.

Ok, good answer and I see your point. But perhaps this should be mentioned in the Briefing? I will indeed think of it as MacArthur's Command and funnel PP's accordingly. Thanks.

Since this is a general game engine thing it´s not explained in the briefing.
You can´t yet move into other regimes terrain (even friendly).

Maybe Vic will do something here in the future. For allied players this would be nice.
