AE - AI and the Editor

Any thing new in the ability to change anything with AI with the editor in AE for campaigns?

I know the AI is scripted for the main campaigns for history reasons, but the ability to edited or change some the locations that the AI attacks/protects would be great. Even for player edited campaigns if you have Japan invade some new locations on turn one, the AI would ignore these locations and not even keep them supplied.

In Witp the AI as Japan never protected Marcus Is. or any of the northern Japanese islands, and the Allied AI would never try to retake Midway or Wake if lost to Japan, or even protect Alaska.

I know a good AI is almost impossible for a game of this size and scale but even some minor changes like the ability to edit the locations that are invaded/protected/supplied would be go a long way.

Oh yeah, this has been a major focus for the past month. James has succeeded in exposing the AI data in the AE editor and the OOB Teams are now dilligently keying in their AI data. We will try to cover the AI Modules defined in the original game first. Then once we've keyed those in and gotten them to the beta team we will consider creating a few new modules. Defense of Alaska is one of several on the wish list.
