Guys ...

While I'm here .. does anybody know when, or in deed if Matrix plans to re-release CS Divided Ground or the newer Vietnam and Korean war up-dates that go with it .... ?

No release date as of yet, but they are coming.

Now, Divided Ground was a deeply flawed game. The major problems:

Helicopters were unable to move over steep slopes (they were modeled as vehicles).
ATGM ammo was unlimited (so the BMP could keep firing atgms forever, when in reality they had about three shots -- the manpac teams had about three shots as well).
ATGM overwatch could not be modeled.
SAMs could be used against tanks and infantry (there wasn't a class of weapons that could fire *only* at aircraft).
The oobs were wayyyyy off (I know, because I once tried to fix them -- my mod is still floating around out there somewhere.


I gave up on the game. Any plans to fix this stuff? At present, Korea is more or less do-able, but Vietnam and the 1973 war are not.

Yes, there is a lot to correct with DG and we've tackled most of the issues you've listed. Still a ways to go though.

Glad to hear about DG. Just hope it doesn't distract the efforts to update and enhance the JTCS.

Always liked DG despite its issues. Glad to hear its getting a good nose job, lol. Looking forward to its release.
