When is the next patch comeing out

Battle of Britain II “Wings of Victory” re-creates the famous and desperate air battles over southern England in 1940 at both the strategic level of the Air Commander and that of the individual plane and pilot. Relive what Churchill called "their finest hour", join the fight in the Battle of Britain!

When is the next patch comeing out

Post by Hard Sarge »

this is getting bad

the game don't even know what it is reporting

hmmm, I was attacking 110s and 17s, says I am attacking 111s and shooting down Spitfires (and since I was the only enlish plane there, I think I know what I was shooting at (got 2 17s and ran out of ammo, after knocking down some 110s in a earlier fight, I chased the 17s)

how many times do you get a report of Bingo fuel, stop the Squadron from taking off ? ahhh, why are they out of gas, if they are taking off ??

new and improved flight model ? the bunting I can put up with, but the roll to the right and turn to the left got to go while still in a right bank

also have had 3 times, where I have broken my flaps and lost my landing gear since I was flying too fast, the last time, I was doing 148 mph

July 21st, I shot down 128 LW aircraft, lost 47, would like to see a detail end of day report on what you shot down and what you lost, and how

game could be great, battles are sweet, but it is the little stuff that ruins it

It's part of the fog of war reporting. I'm not sure if you ever get an accurate report, perhaps after the campaign is finished.

Is it possible you have them on a setting where the planes sit on the runways with engines running? They are probably running out of gas sitting there idling. Try a different reaction setting that isn't the shortest possible reaction time, unless it’s for squadrons on your coastal airfields. I'm not saying this isn't a bug, just suggesting a possible reason it may be occuring.

For me the biggest game killing bug is the fact the German escorts won't mate up with the air strikes like they are supposed to do (probably why you're getting such high kill numbers in your campaign as well). How many years has this game been out? And something as basic as escorts not escorting strikes still doesn’t work…

And before you ask, yes I tried the fix suggested on another forum, it didn’t help. If the fighters take off too early there is no way to get them to meet up with a late arriving strike because they reach bingo fuel before the strike even takes off. And this was for a costal airfield raid...

A simple toggle that allowed players to change the fighters take-off time would fix this, but as it is I recommend buyer beware. It's unforgivable, the game never should have been re-released with such a major bug still present.

well, it is not FOW when it is telling me I am shooting down Spitfires instead of Do 17s

those planes are not on 2 min readyness, there on 5, I have seen it reported on the first mission of the day

for my kills, remember I am showing 212 enemy fighters shot down also

which I went to 2.07 and then lost my campaign saves (my fault)

so have started over (one of the first raids was 36 Stukas with 108 109s , we got slaughtered)

over all, I not too concerned for the escourt bug (as the RAF at least) the AI is keeping Gruppens on roving patrol over the coast, so while you got a chance of catching a raid with no cover, it also happens that there is alot of cover in the area, or that it is going to show up during the battle, but agree it shouldn't be there by this time

2.07 looks like a good patch, only hassle is, it is a player mod patch, another game, that the best/major fixes are being done by the players

Hey Hard Sarge,

'only hassle is, it is a player mod patch, another game, that the best/major fixes are being done by the players '

Please see the shockwave forums for the 2.07 patch so at least you are updated. Also please see the shockwave forums for the Shockwave-BDG relationship thread.

I have been there and have gotten it

I had seen that post, but didn't read it, but from the others, that was the impression I got, but will check

okay have read

got to say, they did a good job,

Still, after a number of patches, planes taking off with no fuel, pilots getting results of shooting down there own planes, planes being lost with out the player knowing why, are things that should of been looked into already

and hopefully is or on the list of things to try and correct down the road

it is a good game, and got a chance to be a really great game
