I don't remember all the details, but a high cannon factor increases tank losses. It has no impact on infantry and I am not sure about other weapons. Anyway, the high cannon ratings and dive bombers are best against tanks, and high bomb loads overall against infantry.

The manual claims (and yes, I know one shouldn't trust the outdated manual, for instance it still refers to pounds as measurement of weight):

Bomb Loads: Bombs = Load in LBS * Experience *
(Number flying/500)

AT Bombs = (Load in LBS/10) * Experience
* (Number flying/500)

Bomb Strength = Bombs + AT Bombs

Thus bombs would be only 1/10 as effective against tanks as other targets("Load in LBS/10").

Furthermore, I'm fairly sure I've been lead to understand that dive-bombers, ground-attack aircraft and tank destroyers receive varying bonuses in attack against tanks as opposed to level bombers....
Anyone with more accurate info to elaborate and correct any mistakes?
