Starshatter GS: Install crash

Hi guys, I purchased Starshatter GS via direct download, DLed it and then kicked off the install. The install screen just disappears randomly while accepting the EULA, entering my serial number or even the main splash screen for the install.

I have tried about 8 time to try and get passt this thinking that if I could get the game actually installing it would continue, to my dismay it even crashed there to.

I am at a complete loss at what to do, I have installed countless games / apps over my time this is the only occurrence of something this weird.

WinXP SP2
8800 GT 512
4 GB DDR3

I don't get an error or some type of dump the install screen simply disappears even then its the only object on the desktop.

Any help appreciated

I can´t help you but I have the same problemwith downloading and what I want to say is that it sucks when you must pay your game with hour after hour with useless trial and error......anyhow Good Luck to you,hope you find an answer so you can play the game,wich is what we all wanna do.

Hi, I wanted to ask if you have any/what type of firewall/virus scanner running during the installation? Not that it's likely to interfere with the install but we have had occurrences in the past were an overprotective virus/firewall program has done some strange things.
