Lookin Good

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Lookin Good

Post by Grell »

I just purchased this game a couple of days ago and I'm curious if there are people still playing it?

I'm not looking for PBEM because I don't play multiplayer on any game.

BTW Nice Manual!

Yes, there are people still playing it, most of them in PBEMs I guess. [:)]

Note that PBEMs are much different from today's standard multiplayer mode though. You make your turn when you want, and you take as much time as you want. An average of 1-2 turns per day over a whole match will be considered fast play. [:)]

I was a "no multiplayer guy" myself not long ago, and I can only recommend to try PBEMs once you understand the game and can win against the AI. The PBEM community over here is very friendly and always open for newcomers. You'll never know what you missed out: Once you experienced playing against an unpredictable human and the suspense of "I won't be able to reload" you'll probably never go back!

Gkar is absolutely right, learn to play the game and then go for a pbem game you will find that you still got a lot to learn. [;)] The game changes completely when you rack your brains against a human opponent.

Welcome aboard [:)][8D]

Hi Guy's, it's nice to see you here!

I can't play mp because I have a terminal illness called Huntingtons Disease. The disease slowly kills my brain cells off to put it simply.

Thanks for the offer though guy's.

Grell

I'm sorry to hear that. I just did a quick search on google about HD and it doesn't look good. Wish you the very best.
