Hello to everyone!
I have a question about upgrades of obsolete equipment ie pzII's to marders does this occur for other tank types & if so which ones (soviet as well)

Look in the editwir.txt file, it explains the automatic updates/conversions.

Read the editwir.txt file....I knew some of the retrofits but not all so thank you but

I did find it interesting that several of the tank types available in the game are never retrofitted. They are the PzJg-1b. the PzIIIe, and the Marder II.

Historically wasn't the PzJg-1b built on the Pz1b chassis and in turn converted into mobile artillery? Thus it is not reflected in the game.

Historically I thought that the PzIIIe was just upgraded to IIIg or IIIh but the game does not reflect this. Mind you there were probably few left after the initial weeks of the Russian campaign.

I am not even sure what happened to the Marder II as they did not produce them very long and perhaps they were just all destroyed or converted to mobile artillery???

The Marder II was built to use captured stocks of Soviet built 76mm AT guns and wasn't produced for very long (although on a couple different chassis which looked totally different), being replaced by the Marder III which used the German built Pak 40.
Jesus ...., with all respect. This closet germanism is allways killing me.
