A Personal Thank You

Post by Wild Bill »

A growing number of you have taken the torch of wargaming and held it higher with your offer to burn CDs and send them to those who cannot get them any other way.

That is a sacrifice of time and money. I certainly appreciate your helping others. It is part of a new gaming camaraderie which is growing rapidly here at Matrix and with those who support us.

Thanks to you all. You are a great bunch of people.

WB, Thanks, but I just checked your stats. 1424 posts on this forum. And Paul. I haven't looked closely, but it seems there is no real time gap between his posts, like he's on the forum 24hrs a day. Same with the rest of the TEAM. And you got this game built (version 3) but it wasn't good enough, so you built 4. And most of you did this while holing down a day job!

Me? I downloaded the game for myself, saw a bright idea from Didactylos & decided to burn & ship some CDs instead of killing some brain cells at the local pub.

So, again, thank you WB, but really...

The real madness is that that is around 10% of all the posts. The number of posts on this forum is, and I quote from Ren and Stimpy, "repulsively titanic." I kinda laughed when I first saw that it was around 4000, then I started posting... I'm not laughing anymore. I'm just kinda hooked.

Thanks Wild Bill...as I see it compared to the efforts you guys have put into giving us this game if I can help in a small way then I feel I've done something to say thank you to the team. There are four UK gamers who will have the game by the weekend.

In my defense, about 1200 of those posts were trying to answer questions or help those with problems, so I don't feel so guilty anymore Image

And Roger, many thanks. There will be some happy campers in the UK very soon.

It was to those helpful 1200 posts that I was referring in my earlier post. The balance of your posts are generally elucidating and always entertaining.
