What am I seeing here...?

I have a couple of German divisions in FITE that appear as reinforcements during the winter of 41. They are scheduled to appear in Berlin but haven't appeared. they seem to simply change destination time each turn, showing in the list as being available on whatever the next turn is.

the only thing I can think of is that in the midst of all the reconstituted units appearing in Berlin (the dest hex) overstacking rules are preventing these re-inforcement units appearing because the re-constituted units are being allocated to the hex first and blocking anything else getting in.

Is this a reasonable and/or possible assumption? Is there a work around? Is it something else entirely that I am missing (eminently likely).

It does sound like a stacking limit issue, although it does seem a little strange that they would keep getting bumped, if they were already in line to appear. Maybe you shouldn't be losing so many units...[;)]

Would editing the scenario (assuming he agrees) to change the entry hex work? If i kept the name and other details and amended the scenario, would the PBEM files read the change in destination correctly?

You would have to restart the scenario if you change anything.

As desert states, it won't help in this game. The SCE file is contained within the PBL file and editing the SCE file will only affect later games.

To do away with this problem, for future games, I would recommend a West map-edge entry hex (or several) for the units. This way, the program should place the units in adjacent hexes as the entry hex fills up (or is enemy occupied), and you won't end up with all these troops getting stuck in a queue trying to pass through the Brandenburg Gate...[:D]
