Fixed guns....

Post by largo »

Hi everybody [:)]

In TOAW III scenario, my units (standard artillery icon ) have heavy war materials -like heavy guns or fixed guns-

If I wish to change their position, a window appears asking for leaving equipment?

My question is: if I agree, what happens? Do I loose all the equipment definitively?

Thanks for answers ...[&o] [;)]

That's correct. The fixed equipment goes into the lost pool when you move the unit.

Shouldn't just moving back into the hex regain the fixed guns? Or are they digging up the Todt's and trucking them around?

Are we wrong in assuming that the 'lost' equipments would go to the moved unit over time (replacements)? [&:]

Or is there something special about this case...?

Yeah. All the guns will go into the pool and all will (eventually) return to units authorized to have them. Of course, they may not return to the unit they came from.

Hi Wargamers [:D] ,

In some case, fixed guns artillery units can be seen. When assailing, those units seems to be strange. Why are they existing in such a case? (for example:Babarossa 41 - classic Toaw)

Bad scenario design? I hope I'm not shattering any illusions here...
