Is there any variation to the standard fifteen turn (in effect) limit in PCK?

If not, is this something that may be considered later? Much longer time limits will be required for any sort of realistic urbanised combat.

James,

The turn limit to defender bonus is now totally scenario designer configurable and can be turned off it desired.

Yes, that's gone. Winterstorm didn't actually have a turn limit, but it started giving the defender a signficant bonus per turn after Turn 20, if I recall correctly.

There is now no fixed limit and no set bonus. That can be set for each scenario according to the designer's wishes, with the default being no defender bonus.

That is good to hear. It was one of a number of reasons why I never purchased PCows. I always felt that it was a very artificial way of controlling the length of a battle and forced the player to operate on a flat-out basis the whole time.

Presumably it is also disabled in the "updated" PCows scenarios?

Either removed or scaled way back on those, don't recall for sure at the moment (I think removed), but it's not like it was in the original release.

I can confirm that for the updated PCOWS scenarios which ship with PCK (provided you have PCOWS already installed), defender turn bonuses are turned off.
