PBEM Troubles

Ok, I'm trying to do a PBEM with jakalo, but so far every turn he has sent me (and we tried a couple of scenarios) has malfunctioned: it gives the "You are playing with the wrong .eqp" message and then TOAW crashes.

I have no stray .eqp's anywhere, and all of the PO games and my old PBEMs start without a problem. Maybe the problem has already been resolved somewhere?

PS: We both have the latest patches.

What scenarios have you tried? Can you email a copy of one of the PBEM turns to me, please? Can you also ask jakalo if he has any stray files anywhere called euipment.eqp?

Ok, it was the Invasion Amerika 1.2 scenario, and he said he didn't see any eqps lying around. Here is the pbl. 1st turn, so just make up any password.

I don't know if this is the problem or not, but be aware that we still have a bug as follows:

Load a scenario that uses a modified equipment file. Without exiting TOAW, load a new scenario that doesn't use a modified equipment file. The new scenario will be erroneously using the modified equipment file of the previous scenario, causing all sorts of problems down the line between players just like what you are experiencing.

For now, to avoid this, always restart TOAW before beginning a new game, to clear any residual effect of previously having had a modified equipment file in use.

Well, the point is moot. When I play the other side, it suddenly works, for some reason.
