You guys put a LOT more color and detail into your Tin Soldiers series. Why so drab lookin now?
These things are not the most colorful things in the world.
Though I do have one model with camo pattern.

Those tanks and stuff need some more artwork. They look too well like unpainted. Kinda drab. Where's the stars and DETAIL on them? They look like something I used to get out of the 5 and dime store in those army bags of trucks and soldiers etc. Cmon give em some color. I like color and detail if you're going to do this stuff 3D.

You need to take this up with the People's Soviet Paint Collective, but unfortunately I think they've all passed on. The color schemes are all historical, this is what they actually looked like. Where we could get more colorful, we did. The quality of the graphics actually far exceeds the Tin Soldiers series in a number of areas.

Now I like that one. That rust makes it look more alive, more real. Those plain ole green with no shine or polish or life lines just look like something out of a toy store in the .99 cent bag catagory. ;)

More old. 70 years probably most spent out doors. Most artists overdo the rust. Looks like they are all from pictures of the tanks in the yard at Aberdeen.

Ravinhood,

Since you were too busy gawking at the paint job you over looked the tank commanders unshaven face :)

Argh, for you to miss such detail .... humph. [:-]

For the last few models I did I provide an uncolored skin (in panzer yellow) besides the summer pattern colored one.  If you don't like the Army green or the camo patterns you can make your own.

The Kharkov and WS models were done by Koios or Matrix artists. The volunteers (me and Stridor) contributed the odd stuff outside this timeframe. That is why there is no pattern or rhyme nor reason [:'(] to the models of vehicles in 1941 or 1943 to 1945. We just thought that some would be cool to make.
