RE: 1/30/1942 AVG leads the way... but USAAF sux...
Gents,
Burma/India
so to quote my opponent... AVG knows how to fight but USAAF doesn't [:D] well Dixie has got a point here but on the other hand not all went the way it was intended to go. Our sweep over Rangoon instead of encountering Oscars, met Oscars and Zeroes. Dixie probably let his pilots drink some sake for the lost friends the day earlier. Well they got their revenge....
Day Air attack on Rangoon , at 29,33
Japanese aircraft
A6M2 Zero x 19
Ki-43-Ic Oscar x 23
Allied aircraft
Hudson I x 1
P-40E Warhawk x 19
Japanese aircraft losses
A6M2 Zero: 1 destroyed, 1 damaged
Allied aircraft losses
Hudson I: 1 damaged
P-40E Warhawk: 9 destroyed, 1 damaged
Our bombers didn't fly today due to God knows what.
China
The 52nd Chinese Corps after moving N of Canton after heavy fights in the city, became a target of a massive enemy air strike. 134 Enemy planes inflicted heavy loses to the retreating troops. As for the rest of action in the region. Nothing new happened. Again weather blocked some many of the planned air missions.
DEI
Well, Japs didn't attack Batavia today, letting our troops rest a little, sadly our bombers didn't fly and as a result the enemy could also rest... dam weather... NE of Java SS Trusty put a fisn into Asakasan Maru but the Jap escorts managed to hit the sub two times causing moderate damage.
Last but not least Koepang was raided by 39 Betties escorted by some Zero fighters... all this came from Celebes... especially Makassar seems to be one of the main bases in the region of operation... our Intel reports the following...
53rd Construction Battalion is located at Makassar.
55th Construction Battalion is located at Makassar.
New Guinea
After bombardment from the sea, Japs have landed in Port Moresby. Not much to add. No attacks have been unleashed so far and we are not capable of any counter attack... I do think that KB is somewhere near.
Central Pacific
Pago Pago and Suva are being build up. I do know that there is a sub between PH and Midway but no luck so far...
North Pacific
I'm slowly building the bases over there... a detailed update with plans will follow shortly...[:)]

RE: 1/31/1942 ...
Gents,
let me begin the report.
New Guinea
Invasion of PM is undesturbed, all Wirrways are now in Australia. We await the 21st Jap Division to overrun the defenders, maybe even tommorow.
Some further bombardment of PM by Jap BBs took place.
DEI
Java. We attacked the enemy positions in Batavia. Our planes managed to hit the soldiers of the enemy 4th Division. The casualties may not be impresive but it's the first day of the attacks. Our forces in Batavia also got hit hard from the air and Dixie's artillery was not idle causing our troops to hide in their positions.
Koepang was raided by the enemy again. Kendari and Makassar based planes bombed the place. Intel reports another Construction Battalion in Makassar, increasing the number to 3.
15th Construction Battalion is located at Makassar.
China
Forces retreating from Canton got attacked from the air before reaching Wuchow. It's good that they are not in the open anymore. Nothing more happened. Our IL-4s tried to bite the enemy in Yenan, without luck. Speaking of which... Dixie has gathered something like 100k troops in the place and more seem to be coming... he must have sent allmost all of his availible units to the place and that's good news. [:)]
Malaya
Bombardment of Singapore continues. As suspected the enemy came a bit higher today and we managed to scrap only one plane this time.
Burma
Enemy forces returned to Rangoon after attacking our brigade N of the town. A bit confusing so to say. I opt Dixie is either waiting for more troops or he's moving for Mandalay and Lashio. We also attacked Rangoon from the air but no hits of the AF reported.
Central Pacific
We finally got some hits on the previously mentioned sub lurking between PH and Midway. SS I-169 got hit three times.
Also Christmas Island got the port built up to lvl 1.
let me begin the report.

Admiral Yavinsky, Supreme Commander Allied Air, Naval and Ground Forces in South East Asia, China, Phillipines, Pacific Region, US West Coast, Australia, New Zealand and Dutch East Indies (SCAANGFSEACPPRUSWCANZDEI) is a little busy lately and is really sorry for the delay.
Seems that the Sync struck the game... [:(]
this time for real because the raports differ.

Gents,
the normal reports shall be resumed probably with the next turn. We shall see if the problem of sync had been resolved.
To comment on the last two days briefly guessing what really happened.
In DEI region Dixie continues to attack at Batavia and he is very close to taking it. We tried to hit a TF possibly going for Koepang, which is also being a target of enemy bombers, but the destination came out to be Maumere.
New Guinea PM is now in the hands of Dixie.
Central Pacific is slow. On the 3rd of February a RCT will start unloading at Pago Pago and a few days later 1st DefBn is going to accompany it, the engineers regiment is SE of Canton Island and also moving towards the Island. Enemy planes (probably float planes) presence has been spotted in the Ellice Islands.
China is quiet, with the usuall amount of action in Yenan and enemy air raids on our units.
When it comes to the pics. Ok, they shall be posted in colour [:'(]

RE: 2/3/1942 Teaser... :P
Gents,
we have a small problem with the combat reports not showing anyways. The situation for today is as follows.
Central Pacific
The defense of Pago Pago is slowly getting thicker and the units are slowly unloading in the place. 2 allied CAs escorted by few DDs will visit a small visit to Ellice Islands where the enemy keeps his recon planes.
DEI
Maumere got captured by the enemy. Sorong was a target of another enemy landing. We have raided Amboina fields but wothout any luck.
That's all in the short news section [:D]
Now the important stuff. Air traffic over Batavia is really heavy. The losses of airplanes also are not light. Especially on my side... I think that providing escort for my bombers makes no sense, Dixie couldn't scratch even one but managed to destroy many fighters. We also transferred the 4ACCU unit to Koepang we shall see if the boys will fly and score some hits on the unescorted enemy transports.
BURMA
[>:] Usuall recin flights.
China
Nothing new...
Malaya
Air raids on Singapore are being intensified buut we still manage to shoot down some of the incoming enem bombers.

RE: 2/4/1942 ...
Gents,
bloody lack of luck so to say and a bit of it in other cases. This perfectly characterizes the 4th of February.
DEI
Well here the lack of luck showed up for the first time. Our Swordies could not locate the enemy present at Maumere. On the other hand the enemy couldn't locate his targets at Koepang. So it's even. When it comes to Batavia we managed to shot down one Zero[X(] of course the kill ratio was 1:3 it is still better than nothing. More to the West enemy has taken Sorong capturing the left behind damaged beyond repair DO-24s. The Amboina raid also could not locate the target and as a result only three B17s managed to drop bombs but did not hit anything.
Malaya
Action here did not develop beyond the usual air rides on Singapore. Today we managed to destroy 3 of the over 23 planes which attacked the place today.
Burma
Dixie is sowly moving for Mandalay and in the mean time sweeping the skies over Akyab. His 9 Zeroes vs my 6 P-40Es resulted in no kills on both sides.
Our recon over Rangoon indicated heavy enemy CAP consisting of Oscars and Zero fighters.
China
Here the situation is idle so to say. All is presented on the map.

OZ
Hmmm bad luck again. AP Aquitania got a attacked by RO-62 and hit by one torpedo... Dang talking about bad luck it is damaged heavily but I hope the ship will make it to Cairns.
In Darwin the RAF HQ evacuated from Java is unloading.

Central Pacific
Australian TF has sailed out of Suva and is moving towards Ellice Islands in order to engage the enemy recon planes base.
In Pago Pago the convoy with the 1st DefBn has arrived and started unloading the troops.
That would be all for today gents.[:)]

RE: 2/5-6/1942 ...
Gents,
sorry for the lack of updates and so on but the Internet provider had some problems and I was virtually cut off so to say. Anyways here's the report for the last two days. The truth that is, not the Jap propaganda. [;)]
DEI
Batavia had fallen on the 5th of February, we have seen this coming, Dixie had more men, equipment and most of all he controlled the skies. Our efforts to bomb the hell out of enemy soldiers were too weak and uncoordinated. Range to the base from Soerabaja also played a role here. I just hope we managed to destroy as much as possible before retreating.
Ground combat at Batavia
Japanese Deliberate attack
Attacking force 51428 troops, 248 guns, 71 vehicles, Assault Value = 979
Defending force 20732 troops, 68 guns, 20 vehicles, Assault Value = 328
Japanese max assault: 837 - adjusted assault: 921
Allied max defense: 256 - adjusted defense: 176
Japanese assault odds: 5 to 1 (fort level 1)
Japanese forces CAPTURE Batavia base !!!
Allied aircraft
no flights
Allied aircraft losses
Martin 139: 1 destroyed
Japanese ground losses:
464 casualties reported
Guns lost 5
Vehicles lost 2
Allied ground losses:
1433 casualties reported
Guns lost 8
Vehicles lost 1
Next day saw the fall of Raba and the sinking of AK Kinrei Maru by SS Porpoise. According to our intel it could have been one of the ships transporting another construction Bn to Makassar.
As for the other targets in the region we bet on two... Koepang and Lombok. In order to surprise Dixie a bit the earlier mentioned Brit CV is going to take position W of Lombok in order to intercept any possible landings.
Malaya
Nothing special. Dixie lost a few bombers over Singapore.
Burma
Jap ground forces are moving towards Mandalay and his fighters are sweeping Akyab.
On the 5th I have almost thrown out my laptop...[8|]

Not much happening over the place. It's too quiet I would say. Something is cooking apart from my soldiers kicked out of Wau.
Central Pacific
Dixie had been really really busy in the region, at least his scout planes were. This combined with the lack of KB contact in a while makes me think that something is on the way.[:D] Enemy recon base in Nukufetau was hit but it seems that japs managed to run away.

Gents,
the situation is as follows
DEI
The region was quiet for the first time in two months. We managed to hit I-153 with depth charges on the route to Lombok. This comes as a positive surprise. Guess why?
Japanese Ships

Allied Ships
SC OJR-4
SC OJR-3
SC OJR-1

In the other news our B17s got a one small hit on the oil fields at Amboina. Also Koepang was a target of the enemy sweep.

Malaya
53 bombers showed up over Singapore today. We managed to take 2 down and damage another 14.
Not bad I would say. And here is the situation in the place as for the 6th of February.

Burma
Dixie is moving north with his Gurds 2nd Div, We attacked it from air, hopefully killing few Jap soldiers. Sweeps continue over Akyab, we lost one Warhawk today.
China
A small surprise. Dixie reduces fortifications to 5.
Ground combat at Yenan
Japanese Deliberate attack
Attacking force 122338 troops, 548 guns, 1 vehicles, Assault Value = 2656
Defending force 63103 troops, 335 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 1705
