Respawning of ships

Post by Historiker »

I know, it all depends from slots, but there are still some questions:

1. If I find the slot for the Japanese respawn, is it possible to change the type from MSW to let's say SS?
2. Do all MSW respawn or only the ships in specific slots?
3. Do I have to leave free slots to allow respawning? I though about saving slots by letting AKs respawn, but if this forces me to keep slots open, it's useless.
4. What about the respawn of bargues and PTs? Do they need empty slots as well (if 3 is answered with yes)?
5. What about the Allies? Is it possible to let other ships respawn than just cruisers, carriers and MSW?
6. Is it possible to change the time after which the ships respawn? I guess no, right?

thx

1. If I find the slot for the Japanese respawn, is it possible to change the type from MSW to let's say SS?

EXCEPT for Chitose and Ise classes,

respawn will let you do almost anything you want.

You can also avoid it by NOT using the slot. I do not use it for CV or cruisers - so those stock class slots are empty. I do not let one kind of AK conversion occur for Japan - because it is not done by them - so that one class slot is empty. But you may do ANY kind of ship in all those normal slots.

Ise and Chitose are wierd - and you should avoid messing with them except you can redefine the details of the ships inside their types (BB, CVS, CVL, semicarrier) AND you MUST ONLY apply these class slots to the two ship slots associated with each of them.

2. Do all MSW respawn or only the ships in specific slots?

Well - there is a limit - it is the number of slots NOT USED BY ANY ship - and that includes other respawns. A respawned ship needs a ship slot - and the total number of respawns may not exceed the total number of empty ship slots.

3. Do I have to leave free slots to allow respawning? I though about saving slots by letting AKs respawn, but if this forces me to keep slots open, it's useless.

Yes you do

4. What about the respawn of bargues and PTs? Do they need empty slots as well (if 3 is answered with yes)?

Yes you do

5. What about the Allies? Is it possible to let other ships respawn than just cruisers, carriers and MSW?

Whatever you put in the class slots - and there are a number of them- used by STOCK ONLY - however you define it - will respawn

6. Is it possible to change the time after which the ships respawn? I guess no, right?

thx

no - right - you are welcome

Barges doesn't need free slots - they respawn into slot they were already using.

PT doesn't respawn.

I think Japanese PT do not respawn but Allied ones do - or I misremember or misunderstand something - have not looked at this in a year
