No reinforcements for other DCG

Post by Javi1 »

Hello Jason first of all I'd like to thank you for this game. It was many years ago when I first bought East front 2 at best buy and shortly after West Front. I have had countless hours of fun playing these games these past years and are my favorite, and have kept campaigns full of medals as recollection!

I have been playing the campaign series release which I got a few weeks ago, and while playing some DCG on the east front, (Operation Bagration as the Soviets and Barbarrossa north as Germans) I have gone about 5-6 battles on each campaign and have not received any reinforcements none whatsoever. I have read some about this in the forums, should I download the 2b patch to remedy this, or is this an intentional issue? Your help would be appreciated, thank you!

Ok sounds good I will download that file then. However if the problem is fixed will I begin to receive the reinforcements on the currently existing campaigns or will it be necessary to start new campaigns to see the results. Thats not a problem for me at all but I am just curious. Thank you.

If the file is replaced, it should work the next time you are expected to receive reinforcements.

Well that would be terrible, though it hasn't happened to me, it's tough enough on the Soviets (atleast on the battalion and regimental level) that most of the burden has to be carried out by their tanks as they dont have a good supporting array of anti-tank infantry, adequate AA, effective reconnaisance vehicles, and good artillery. The Germans have a better overall force so their reliance on tanks is somewhat reduced.....atleast in my experience.
