2006 College Football Project

Post by 22sec »

OK several of us have talked in the past of doing a college football project, and I think MFB is progressing enough that it would be a worthwhile undertaking. My intent is to create a league with every 1A team in every conference. I already have the conferences and teams plugged in. It is also my intent to fashion the league on the upcoming season, thus using rosters and schedules for this year.

If anyone is interested just PM me. The way I see this working is that we have several areas of focus that must be addressed.
Graphics (Unis, Field Art, Logos)
Playbooks (Formations, Plays, Profiles)
Rosters (Players, Attributes)
Schedules

Like I said, anyone seriously interested just drop me a PM and we'll see if we can't get this ball rolling.

I think that is great that you are considering a College Football Project, but I have a question. I haven't messed much with the league creating option of MaxFB and don't know what it is all capable of doing, but I thought I read once that the game only allowed 4 divisions per Conference or something like that. How exactly are you going to implement all 1A teams into the game? Yes, I know the game allows for unlimited amount of teams, but how are you goind to structure the Conferences?

That's what I thought originally, but if you use the in-game league menu you can create as many conferences as you want.

I actually have it all set up with every team in its correct conference.

Now about that schedule editor[;)]

Ya, I know I'm behind. I've just run into some problems with it that I'm having troubles trying to figure out. But rest asured, I still am working on the utility.

My project still lives. Inspired by DONMVP's awesome job creating all the 1AA uniforms I have added every 1AA conference, and team to the league file. I've also added all the artwork. So it is now over 200 teams[X(]. I maybe able to post the file plus artwork on a FTP site soon. The thing is with all the artwork the file is over 200MB!!

EDIT: Just realized I posted to the old post[:D][:D]

Wow, a two year old post bump! [:D]
I would love to see the files posted. I want to play college games, hopefully in time for the next college football season.

That would be great 21SEC. It would be very cool to play as Auburn (and pound bama!)
